Moorestown, NJ – On Saturday, September 23, 2017 Oaks Integrated Care’s sixth Annual Touch A Truck event pulled into the Moorestown Mall parking lot! Thanks to the support from volunteers, sponsors and local organizations, children of all ages had the chance to see, touch, explore and learn about their favorite trucks.
30 vehicles were on display from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Moorestown Mall parking lot on the Route 38 side of Boscov’s department store. The event featured fun, family-friendly activities including a moon bounce, face painting, balloon artist, auction, games, photo contest and more.
Children and their families honked away behind the wheel of trucks of all kinds including:
- Tow Truck
- Mobile Laboratory
- Construction Vehicles
- Police Car
- Fire Truck
- Tractor Trailer
- And many more!
Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the Oaks Integrated Care Food Pantries in Mt. Holly and Berlin which serve over 800 families a month. Oaks Integrated Care CEO, Derry Holland, explains, “For many families in our community, hunger is a sad reality. Through Touch A Truck, families have the opportunity to come together to raise awareness and support for this important cause while sharing a fun-filled, hands-on day together. This is an event we look forward to each year and continues to be a success!”
