Youth Residential Services

Our goal is to help youth ages 5-21 living with emotional/behavioral challenges and/or a developmental disability overcome challenges and thrive in a 24/7 supervised community setting. Trauma informed services include individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric care and medical care, all coordinated in a community home. We take great pride in our welcoming, well-maintained homes located in safe residential areas throughout southern and central New Jersey.  The comfortable space allows children to learn, grow and reach their full potential.

We value family and community connections and commit to providing best practice clinical intervention in the least restrictive environment possible. Clinical services are supported with social opportunities, recreation, educational support, art and music.

Group Homes Include:

  • Psychiatric Community Homes
  • Detention Alternative Homes
  • Residential Treatment Homes
  • Group homes for children with developmental disabilities
  • Respite home for children with developmental disabilities

Adult Residential Services

Adult Group Homes

Group homes give adults with developmental disabilities or a severe mental illness the opportunity to live as their abilities permit in a safe, caring environment with 24/7 supervision. Residents receive the support needed to become contributing participants in their neighborhood and community organizations.

Supported Living

Supported apartments provide independent living for adults with developmental disabilities ready to live in the community with limited support. Individuals receive assistance with transportation, nutrition, shopping, budgeting and community involvement. Staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Supportive Housing for Adults

Without a stable home to live in dignity, it is nearly impossible for individuals and families to move toward wellness and recovery. We believe it is essential to provide a chance for change through housing that is not only safe, permanent and affordable, but also accessible to a range of community resources and transportation.

Supportive housing residents receive the support necessary to become contributing participants in their community and learn to utilize local resources including banks, churches, grocery stores and recreational facilities. The program provides: rental assistance, opportunities for peer support, budgeting assistance, illness management and education/workforce skills development.

Supportive Housing for Families

Poverty, chronic homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, domestic violence- all can bring a family to the brink of crisis. Often these factors put children at risk of abuse and neglect which can result in child welfare involvement and ultimately removal from the family home. Our programs for families pair supportive housing with support services such as case management and family preservation services to help vulnerable families with highly complex challenges stay together:

Keeping Families Together (KFT), a statewide initiative through the Department of Children and Families, provides affordable supportive housing and support services for families in Burlington County involved with the child welfare system. KFT addresses each aspect of the family’s life to ensure housing is maintained such as linkage to primary and behavioral health care, substance abuse treatment, therapy, education, education/vocational services, financial literacy and life skills training.

Cooperative Agreement to Benefit Homeless Individuals (CABHI), our first ever SAMHSA award, is a 3-year project to increase access to housing for families in Mercer County with at least one member living with a Substance Use Disorder, Serious Mental Illness or Co-Occurring Disorder. Services designed to increase family functioning and maintain long-term stable housing include outreach, housing search, family-focused supportive services, benefit access and peer support.

Homestretch Transitional Housing

Homestretch provides unsupervised transitional housing and support services to youth aging out of foster care and homeless youth in Atlantic County. Services focus on life skills, vocational and educational goals and case management.
