It’s Turkey Time! Now Through November 18th

We’re busy gearing up for our annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive NOW through November 18! Last year, with the help of our generous donors we distributed over 1900 turkeys with all the trimmings. This year, the need is greater than ever. Unfortunately, many families in our programs struggle to put food on the table on a daily basis and sadly, Thanksgiving dinner is no exception. Do you remember Lisa Frank?  I sure do.  She designs toys and stationary – and she was uber-popular when I was young.  Every August, when I was a kid, I’d always make sure I had some Lisa Frank swag for my backpack.  I can still remember standing in a drug store aisle and trying to decide between the Lisa Frank folder with the pink kitten and the Lisa Frank folder with the teal horse on it.  It’s funny what memories we hold on to all our lives. …it IS easy being green! We’ve got a simple and eco-friendly way to upcycle your used plastic shopping bags. Don’t send your plastic bags to the landfill – drop them off to the Twin Oaks Food Pantry! We’re always in need of those handy, little bags to pack up the much needed food for our consumers. You can drop off the plastic bags directly to the Food Pantry located at 770 Woodlane Road, Suite 23, Mt. Holly, NJ 08060. Learn more about our pantry and additional ways you can help here. -Rachael
