A Family Focused Approach
Children’s Mobile Response (CMR) uses a family focused approach to help children ages 5-21 experiencing a behavioral or emotional crisis. Immediate, in-home stabilization services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in Camden County.
If a child is experiencing any of the following symptoms that interfere with life at home or at school, we will send a trained professional to the home that same day.
- Anxiety
- Oppositional or defiant behaviors
- Suicidal thoughts
- Depression
- Refusal to attend school
- Self-mutilation (not requiring emergency treatment)
Children’s Mobile Response services are designed to defuse an immediate crisis, maintain a safe living environment for the child and family, prevent inappropriate hospitalizations and reduce the need for out-of-home placements. Services include:
- Crisis evaluation and intervention
- Treatment planning
- Linkage to in-home or outpatient therapy
- Safety planning
- Linkage to behavioral assistance/supports
- Access to community resources
- Referral to follow-up services
- Stabilization services
Our experienced team of Children’s Intervention Specialists utilize Trauma Informed Care to work with the youth and family to develop a plan in order to stabilize the immediate crisis and prepare for future crisis situations. If necessary, our team can also put short-term stabilization services in place for up to 8 weeks.
