Every year around this time, I pause to reflect on the last 12 months– the accomplishments, the challenges, the opportunities – but most importantly, what I’m most grateful for. As CEO, I understand that our mission to provide critical services to the most vulnerable members of the community would not be possible without all of you by our side.
To the individuals and families we serve:
Thank you for putting your trust in our team. Whether it’s providing addiction services, outpatient counseling, job training, housing or emergency hunger relief, we commit to making a positive impact on the lives of the individuals and families in over 230 programs throughout New Jersey.
To our employees and community partners:
Thank you for being there. Our employees demonstrate resiliency, empathy and patience every day while keeping safety as the highest priority. I continue to be amazed by our dedicated frontline team who have gone above and beyond during a time when mental health has never mattered more. Many programs also depend on collaboration with valued partners including nonprofit providers, hospitals, faith-based organizations and community groups.
To our generous donors and volunteers:
Thank you for stepping up. With your help, the 2nd Annual Rooted in Community Awards in June raised over $125,000 to support essential programs. Touch A Truck rolled into Camden for the first time this summer where we distributed over 400 stuffed backpacks to youth in the community. It was also incredible to see 2,100 Thanksgiving meals delivered and over 100 families sponsored this holiday season.
Looking forward to the new year, we plan to continue creating positive change and furthering impact in the heart of the communities we serve. Thank you for your unwavering support of our mission along the way.
With Gratitude,
Derry Holland
Chief Executive Officer
P.S. As the year comes to a close, I hope you will consider supporting our work with a year-end donation to assist us in serving our most vulnerable community members.
