Recovery is Possible

Oaks offers compassionate, supportive services for individuals and families living with an addiction to opioids, alcohol and other addictive substances or co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use disorder). Our goal is to offer hope for long-term recovery and a chance to end the revolving door of treatment.

Recovery is possible with the right treatment, resources and continuing care. Our team of professional, caring staff strive to address each person’s individualized needs and encourage engagement throughout the recovery process. The path to a sober, healthy life starts with a holistic approach to care designed to treat the whole person in a comfortable, welcoming environment. Programs include:

In conjunction with outpatient counseling and peer services, Oaks offers Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services in Mercer, Camden, Burlington, Cumberland and Essex Counties to treat individuals in recovery from opiate and alcohol use disorders. These medications now include monthly injections of Sublocade or Vivitrol or oral medications such as Suboxone or Naltrexone.  These lifesaving medications are managed by our psychiatrists and Advanced Nurse Practitioners (APN), in collaboration with you or your loved one, based on identified personal treatment goals.

Addictions outpatient and intensive outpatient counseling services help individuals and families struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health needs, with the goal of improving well-being at home, work and in the community. Treatment is offered at convenient locations in Mercer, Camden, Burlington and Essex Counties. Addiction services include individual therapy, group therapy, case management, peer recovery support, medication monitoring and connection to community resources. Family and couples therapy is also available as part of your wellness plan.

The Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in Mercer County focuses on improving overall health through community-based mental health and addiction treatment. Outpatient detox from drugs or alcohol is the first step on the road to recovery followed by additional services such as partial care, case management, outpatient counseling, primary healthcare screening and more.

In partnership with the Evesham Police Dept. and Burlington County Prosecutor’s office, Oaks will be on call on Mondays from 12:00-7:00 pm to meet in-person with individuals who voluntarily enter the Evesham Police Department (984 Tuckerton Road, Marlton, NJ 08053), turn in their drugs and request help with an addiction.

Each individual who walks through the door will be treated with dignity, compassion and respect. An Oaks team member or coordinating provider will immediately complete a “Straight… Into Treatment” assessment and begin the process to link the person to treatment as soon as possible. Oaks will also coordinate follow-up care and referral to additional community resources to support their recovery.

OORP responds in-person at participating Burlington County emergency rooms to survivors reversed from an overdose. Recovery Specialists link survivors to treatment, follow-up care, peer support and community resources.

The STAR Program offers assistance to adults in Burlington and Cumberland Counties experiencing issues that often occur concurrently with an Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), such as homelessness, incarceration, legal issues, employment, education, transportation, need for social services, healthcare, child welfare involvement, child care, health insurance and treatment linkage including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Our goal is to help individuals remain in the Recovery Zone for as long as possible; help to reduce the risk of recurring episodes of opioid related problems; and prevent future overdose. After normal business hours, the STAR teams are accessible by telephone, so that coverage is 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Services will be provided for up to 12 months.

Our team of care managers and peer specialists work with individuals in the community to locate and obtain stable, independent housing, as well as establish an individualized care plan that addresses treatment and resource needs.
