Food shouldn’t have to be a choice! The Oaks Food Pantries, located in Mt. Holly and Berlin, provide the people we serve and community members in need with basic food, clothing and household provisions. Over 90% of the individuals and families in Oaks programs live at or below the poverty level. They often face the harsh dilemma of spending their meager financial resources to purchase the medications which keep them mentally stable or to purchase food. These services are often the first step in the consumer’s journey, as staff evaluate psychiatric symptoms and refer consumers to additional services. Creating a Healthy Home Visitation services give families a chance for healthy, positive interactions together after a child has been placed outside of the home. The ultimate goal for each program is reunification. FLC Visitation provides supervised visitation for children and parents. Services include scheduled supervised visits, transportation for children within county, assistance for families in achieving DCP&P case plans, and work toward reunification.
