Camden, NJ | September 2, 2022 – Oaks Integrated Care’s Touch A Truck event rolled into Camden for a fun-filled day at the Triad1828 Centre parking lot. The free community event gave kids the chance to see, touch, and explore their favorite trucks. The local nonprofit also held a backpack giveaway at the event, distributing over 300 backpacks and school supplies to Camden youth.

Touch A Truck featured a street sweeper, construction trucks, tractor trailer, fire truck, police cars, armored response vehicle and more. Camden County Police, Camden Fire Department, Camden County Sheriff, Camden County Public Works, Camden County Special Services District and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office were on hand to show off their vehicles and interact with attendees. Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders made an appearance with mascot, Swoop, and kids enjoyed music, activities, food and games throughout the day.

Oaks Integrated Care partnered with sponsors Johnson, Kendall & Johnson, Christine’s Hope for Kids and Triad1828 Centre to help make the event a success. In addition, the Food Bank of South Jersey partnered with Oaks to distribute Kids Summer Meal Kits to families in attendance.

Oaks Integrated Care CEO Derry Holland shares, “Touch A Truck gives us the opportunity to bring families together for a fun-filled day, right in the heart of the communities we serve.” Holland adds, “With back to school right around the corner, we’re thankful for our sponsors and volunteers that helped make this event and the backpack giveaway a big success.”
