NJ 101.5 | March 1, 2023 New Jersey youth in foster care now have the option of being guided by someone who's been through the system themselves. The New Jersey Department of Children and Families has announced the launch of a pilot program that connects youth residing in foster care with trained professional staff that have their own lived experience. "It's really someone who's walked in their shoes," said Daniela Guarda, assistant director in DCF's Office of Family Preservation and Reunification. Insider NJ | September 6, 2022 TRENTON – In an effort to ensure better outcomes for defendants with serious mental health needs who are on pretrial monitoring, Human Services Commissioner Sarah Adelman today announced a new pilot program in Camden, Essex and Middlesex counties to identify and connect these individuals to mental health treatment and other vital social services. Drive-Thru Backpack Giveaway Distributes Over 900 Backpacks To Camden Community

Cope Center In Montclair Merges With Oaks Integrated Care

The Montclair Patch, June 10, 2021 - There have been a lot of new partnerships formed during the coronavirus pandemic. And a merger between two health care nonprofits in New Jersey has managed to reach the finish line, even despite the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis. Last month, Oaks Integrated Care announced a merger with COPE Center, a behavioral health nonprofit based in Montclair.
