Camden, NJ | September 2, 2022 – Oaks Integrated Care recently hosted its annual Touch A Truck community event in Camden at the Triad1828 Center. The free event gives kids the chance to see, touch, and explore their favorite trucks. Touch A Truck featured emergency response vehicles, construction trucks, tractor trailers, police vehicles and more. The Fire Department even turned on the hose to make sure attendees stayed cool in the summer heat.

Every child deserves a great first day of school. Oaks distributed over four hundred backpacks filled with school supplies to children at the event. The nonprofit organization partnered with the Camden County Police, Camden County Public Works Department, Camden County Special Services District, Food Bank of South Jersey, New Jersey American Water, Christine’s Hope for Kids, Johnson Kendall Johnson and others to make the event a success.

Oaks Integrated Care CEO Derry Holland shares, “Touch A Truck is an incredible opportunity for us to bring community members together in a fun, family atmosphere.” Holland adds, “We’re grateful for the support of our sponsors, attendees, volunteers, staff and community partners that helped make this event a success and ensure students are prepared for the start of the school year.”
