International Overdose Awareness Day is a nationally recognized, significant and meaningful day held every year on August 31st. This remembrance aims to raise global awareness of overdoses and to reduce stigmas associated with drug related deaths. It is also a day to acknowledge the grief of those suffering because of the loss of friends and families who have been affected. According to Center of Disease Control, in 2019 nearly 71,000 Americans died of drug overdoses nationwide and nearly 3,000 in New Jersey alone. #BetterTogether Pantry Partnership

In the true spirit of #BetterTogether, we’re happy to announce our partnership with Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter by temporarily distributing pet food donations (dry and canned) at our Mount Holly Food Pantry. The donations are normally distributed at the animal shelter which is currently closed due to COVID-19. If you or a loved one is in need of people food, dog food or cat food, we are here to help! Food shouldn’t have to be a choice! The Oaks Food Pantries in Mount Holly and Berlin offer emergency food assistance to community members in need of support.
