Mount Holly, NJ | November 2, 2022 – This holiday season, Oaks Integrated Care will host its Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive and Holiday Gift Drive to benefit families struggling to make ends meet. For many families in Oaks programs, the holiday season can be a difficult time of year – financial stress and mental health challenges often intensify for those already living paycheck to paycheck. Food costs continue to rise leaving families with the difficult choice of paying for food, rent or essential medications. With support from local donors and volunteers, the nonprofit organization plans to distribute over 2,000 Thanksgiving meals and sponsor 100 families through the holiday gift drive. Rooted in Community Awards Celebrates New Jersey Individuals and Organizations Making an Impact ­­­Mount Holly, NJ | June 10, 2023 – Oaks Integrated Care celebrated its third annual Rooted in Community Awards to recognize outstanding local heroes who contribute to the region through work, service and leadership. The event raised $125,000 to benefit Oaks’ mission to improve the quality of life for vulnerable children, adults and families through mental health and addiction services. Donation Drive Gives Youth the Confidence to Succeed Mount Holly, NJ, July 19, 2023- Every child deserves a great first day of school. Now through August 11, Oaks Integrated Care is accepting donations of backpacks and school supplies for Operation Fill-A-Backpack, an annual program designed to provide children and teens with the confidence needed to succeed this September. Many parents of children in Oaks Integrated Care programs lack the financial stability to provide their children with basic school supplies. Each gift to Operation Fill-A-Backpack decreases the burden on families and helps students receive the tools necessary to start the school year off on the right foot. Anne Greenwood and Michelle Carlamere Promoted to Leadership Positions Mount Holly, NJ | November 1, 2022- Oaks Integrated Care is proud to announce the promotion of Directors Michelle Carlamere to Vice President and Anne Greenwood to Assistant Vice President following the retirement of longtime employee Beth Dunlap. As dedicated team members with a combined sixty years of experience, Carlamere and Greenwood will oversee mental health programs for children and families at the Charles Yates Center for Children and Families in Lumberton, New Jersey. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Carlamere has worked for Oaks for over twenty-five years as a Therapist, Coordinator, Supervisor and most recently as director of outpatient counseling services. Camden, NJ | September 2, 2022 - Oaks Integrated Care’s Touch A Truck event rolled into Camden for a fun-filled day at the Triad1828 Centre parking lot. The free community event gave kids the chance to see, touch, and explore their favorite trucks. The local nonprofit also held a backpack giveaway at the event, distributing over 300 backpacks and school supplies to Camden youth. Touch A Truck featured a street sweeper, construction trucks, tractor trailer, fire truck, police cars, armored response vehicle and more. Camden County Police, Camden Fire Department, Camden County Sheriff, Camden County Public Works, Camden County Special Services District and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office were on hand to show off their vehicles and interact with attendees.
